The Legend of Zelda Review

Overview:
The Legend of Zelda was a revolutionary game of its time, created by the great Shigeru Miyamoto. It was the first American title to allow players to save their data on the game cartridge, appose to on a Memory Card. During the 8-bit era, The Legend of Zelda had some of the greatest graphics, gameplay, and storylines.

Gameplay: 7/10
The Legend of Zelda introduced a new type of gaming experience. The game had an overhead style view, instead of sidescrolling. The Legend of Zelda did an exseptional job of it. Another thing that the game had that other games didn't, was a large inventory of weapons/items. This really added to the gameplay experience. Although the game is old, the gameplay is still a priceless experience.

Story: 7/10
The Legend of Zedla featured one of the most in depth stories of its time. It was also one of the very few games that told the srory in the game, even though it was told in the opening credits. The story revolved around collecting the 8 pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom, after Zelda shatters it when Ganon captures her. The game's story was also very unique for its time, but it could have been told better.

Graphics: 7/10
The Legend of Zelda had one of the best graphics of the 8-bit era, third to The Adventure of Link and Super Mario Bros 3. Some of the small cutscenes were nice, but a little choppy. Pretty good for a game made in 1987!

Sound: 8/10
The Legend of Zelda also had one of the best soundtracks of the 8-bit era. Although compared to today's soundtracks, it is somewhat limited.

Fun/Replay Value: 9/10
The Legend of Zelda is a great game to play. Even though it is an old game, you will still have a ton of fun with it. If you beat the game, it even starts a new file for you, and has Second Quest, which is a harder version of First Quest, and all the dungeons and items are switched around. The dungeons are also designed different!

Overall Score:
8/10

Closing Comments:
Even though The Legend of Zelda is an old game, it is still a great game to play, and is a priceless adventure no matter what age of gamer you are!
