Twilight Princess Fishing Guide
On this page you will find everything you need to know about fishing in Twilight Princess! This guide has information that ranges from how to fish to the types of lures and fish species. BOBBER FISHING: The first type of fishing that you will be able to do. This type of fishing can only be done from the shore of lakes and is only able to catch certain fish, but you can put bait on it such as bee larva. To fish with this method, you cast your line with B, and you wait until the bobber sinks. When it does, tilt the Wiimote up in a fast motion and it should say "FISH ON!" on your screen. Now you keep the Wiimote up and you move the Nunchuk in a reel motion until you catch the fish. Fish able to catch: Greengill, Hyrule Bass. Lures: None LURE FISHING: You do Lure Fishing from a boat. You use the Control Stick to move the boat around and find the place where you want to fish. When you have found your spot, press B to pull out your rod. Now use the Control Stick to aim. When you have aimed, hold down A and raise the Wiimote, now snap the Wiimote forward and let go of A to cast your line. When it has been cast, you can move the Wiimote from side to side and the lure will move from side to side; which is more inviting to the fish. Use the Nunchuk like you do in Bobber Fishing to reel. When you see a fish bite, snap the Wiimote up to hook the fish. Keep the Wiimote up and reel the fish in via the same motion as before. When you see the "onscreen prompt", press A and B at the same time to get your fish. Fish able to catch: Hylian Loach, Hylian Pike, Ordon Catfish, Reekfish Lures: Swimmer, Popper, Spinner, Frog, Sinking, Coral. Fish types: Greengill- The greengill is the most common fish. You can find it almost everywhere, but mostly in the Kakariko graveyard and the Ordon Lake. Hyrule Bass- Can be caught in the graveyard and in the fishing hole. You can use Bobber Fishing to get it, but its easier if you use Lure Fishing with the Frog Lure or Swimmer Lure. Hylian Loach- You can catch a baby one in the graveyard lake, and you can catch a big one in the fishing hole during summer. Use the Frog Lure or Sinking Lure to catch it with ease. Hylian Pike- They are located in the fishing hole and upper zora's river. Use the Spinner Lure to nab this one. Ordon Catfish- Can be found in the deep parts of the Ordon Lake and the fishing hole. Use the Popper Lure. Reekfish- This fish can ONLY be found in Zora's Domain. The only lure that can catch them is the Coral Lure. They are found in Zora's Domain by the "mother and child" rock formations. |
